Golf courses in Morocco have existed in the kingdom since the beginning of the twentieth century and the sport was particularly developed during the reign of King Hassan II, father of the current king, His Majesty Mohammed VI, who then took over. Marrakech Region:

Marrakech, nicknamed the red or ochre city, has a very important cultural heritage, a beautiful environment and quality golf courses for players of all levels. Located 25 minutes south of Marrakech, the Ourika golf course (Palm Golf Marrakech) offers breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains. Agadir Region :

The Tazegzout golf course, close to Agadir’s city center and in the heart of the seaside resort, will allow you to enjoy a unique natural site planted with argan forests. Recently designed by Kyle Phillips, it offers a spectacular setting thanks to its elevation of 80 meters above sea level. You will be able to enjoy superb views throughout these 18 holes, while appreciating the quality of the course. Nature lovers will be pleased, the clubhouse has a magnificent panorama of the bay.

Rabat Region:

Rabat is a coastal city with many historical sites. The golf courses in this region are ranked among the best in the country, such as the Royal Golf Dar Es Salem, designed by Robert Trent Jones, on the initiative of the late King Hassan II, whose favorite sport was golf. This prestigious domain extends over 440 hectares in the heart of a cork oak forest and on a flat terrain only 15 kilometers from the capital. All the elements are present to satisfy you: technicality, quality, beauty of the environment. The golf course is divided into three courses, two 18 holes and one 9 holes.

Region of El Jadida :

Formerly Mazagan, the city of El Jadida is surrounded by fortifications from its past as a Portuguese territory. This beautiful city is also distinguished by its quality courses with unique landscapes. The best golf course in Morocco is located in this region. It is the golf course of Mazagan which hugs the dunes on the edge of the ocean. This links golf course designed on the sand in 2010 by the famous South African champion Gary Player, whose best victories took place on links courses, is considered one of the best in Africa. Along the beach of El Jadida and preserving its natural side, this course is the longest in Morocco: 6885 meters. It is accessible to players of all levels and offers superb views of the sea.

Casablanca Region:

The dynamic Casablanca has very different courses that will seduce you with their Moroccan charm such as the Royal Golf Anfa Mohammedia. This golf course is located along the coast 28 km from Casablanca with magnificent views of the ocean. Designed in the 1920s, its sand dunes are reminiscent of Scottish links but here they are covered with cactus or palm trees. The seaside winds will guide your approach to the course. Fez region:

This region will make you enjoy its courses very pleasant to play which respect with brio the atmosphere which reigns in this city. You will find, for example, the Oued Fès golf course in the city center, the Royal Golf of Fès on the outskirts and in Meknes, the Meknes golf course near the medina. The Oued Fès golf course was designed by the Scottish architect Jonathan Gaunt. This beautiful 18-hole course of 6344 meters is an elegant marriage between wooded and wet areas along the Oued Fes, near the Royal Palace. Preserving the surrounding nature, it is characterized by fairways in the woods north of the wadi and along the river. The preservation of the existing environment was a major requirement in its design. Thus the trees, Aleppo pines, eucalyptus, palm trees and other species have been preserved.

Essaouira Region:

Formerly Mogador, the port city of Essaouira, has a course in the links tradition, the Mogador golf course, which is in keeping with the original landscape of this city. Entirely designed by Gary Player and only 3 km from the medina, the two Mogador courses are aesthetically integrated into the landscape in the pure tradition of Scottish links.
